Thanks I was not sure I wanted to share such a personal and hard struggle but I feel like so far people can understand that life takes us on a few uncertain turns to say the least. May God bless you!

Hey there!  Been there- my husband and I make 'ghetto' jokes all the time too!  I am not a single mom, so I can't identify with you there- but finding treasures is exciting to the whole family nowadays.  BTW, even though my parents were dirt poor growing up, one an orphan and the other negleced and abused by alcoholics, they look down on us too.  My sisters saw what happened with my parents when I married an 'uneducated half breed' **gasp!** and they married men whose goals are to be doctors and they are nurses with only two children.  My youngest sister still lives at home in her twenties.  Which is fine, but not for me!  I went into the Army in Intelligence and married a handsome brown black eyed jet black haired guy who went to war and survived out of his entire team.   He was discharged medically and we have struggled since then, but you know, the American dream that is held up to me by my parents, I am finding, doesn't exist for everybody.  I am who I am and I love my family so much- there are times when I thought we were going to lose my hubby, and these days I even welcome his snoring, because it means he is still THERE!  God bless!!  Hugs!  I take the struggles to mean God has't given up on me yet!

You are a survivor and trooper - I am amazed and so inspired by your courage and endurance!  Wow
